sick.

I have been M.I.A. for the past several days due to a "bronchial infection." This time of year all sorts of illnesses are going around. According to my Dr, influenza and pneumonia are running rampid, so I am thankful that mine is just a little infection. I was prescribed the Z Pak, and so far so good. I am slowly getting better, but it has still taken a toll on my productivity these last few days. One of the perks of being in Real Estate, and on a team, is that I do not need to call in sick or take unpaid sick days-although in Real Estate- time is money! Every second I sit at home, I am not producing clients and sales. Come on Z PAK, do your magic!

silly.

I love watching football, but it's only really engaging when my teams are playing - so this Super Bowl is not that exciting for me. Quite frankly, the commercials and parties are what gets me excited. Check out the funny Super Bowl message cards below from someecards.com.

modern realtors.

Technology is a sign of the times. Everyone loves to surf the web, read their favorite blogs, shop online etc. For Realtors, the question and main concern has been, is the Internet making Realtors obsolete? The answer is NO. Yes, 90% of buyers are starting their search online - but there is A LOT more to it than just finding the right home. Read the article (link above) to get the whole picture of what a modern agent can do for you, that the Internet cannot.

showing shoes.

Here are some great shoes for Realtors who are out and about showing homes in this awful weather! You must look fashionable when trying to sell prime, high end Real Estate, right?

realtor chic.

Rationalizing an outfit always makes it easier to spend the money. It is important as a young professional to be taken seriously in the Real Estate industry, and it is also important to be comfortable. In Real Estate you might be in the office for an important meeting one minutes, and then the next minute traipsing through the snow to show homes. Above are some fun ideas of Real Estate chic clothes are are also functional!

In light of the recent cold weather I thought I would pick some homes in Colorado. If I am going to be snowed/iced in, I wish it was in one of these homes. To see more information on these homes, visit www.sothebysrealty.com and search under Colorado.

more ice.

Once again we woke up in an ice cube. Last night the wind started blowing, and trees started falling. The trees outside were all on the verge of toppling over because they were weighed down by ice. All through the night we heard  branches hitting my house, and ice flying everywhere. We woke up at 3:30 to look outside because I was scared an ice dagger was going to come through the window. Luckily, we did not lose power at my house, when many others on my street did. Upon inspection this morning my house is fine, but there sure is a lot of clean up needed. Today seems like a great day to stay in bed, relax, read and blog! Below are some pictures of the tree branches across the street from my house and the thick ice that is keeping us inside!

happy birthday, mom.

Happy 60th Birthday to my wonderful mom, Cyndy.  I hope you and Dad are having fun on your cruise! This picture made me very jealous!

ice.

Columbus, Ohio, along with a huge portion of the country, is facing harsh winter weather today. This morning I woke up in what seems like the center of an ice cube. My driveway and deck are solid ice. I opened my sliding doors to let my mom's dog out (I am dog sitting) and Snook, the Chihuahua, slid everywhere...he looked like Bambi. I had to pick him up and carry him down the stairs, and even the grass area was covered with ice. Needless to say, I am ready for the thaw to begin, but until then I am declaring it is snow day in the world of Real Estate. In honor of this snow day, check out the awesome ice storm pictures below.
